Underage drinking is a serious issue in Marin. Our programs are designed to help parents, caregivers and educators to support the kids in their lives, with whatever comes their way.
Our Mission
Underage substance use in Marin County is one of the highest in all of California. MHYP is a community-based non-profit focused on reducing the high rates by creating evidence-based programs that provide education and support prevention policy through engaging youth, parents, and the community at large. MHYP’s strength comes from working collaboratively with many groups and dedicated volunteers who care about this issue. Come join us!
A new approach to Underage substance use
We rely on the latest research to guide us in our approach to underage substance use prevention. What once felt like a mystery - protecting our kids from the negative impacts of alcohol and drugs - is now much clearer. We have the tools and information to give our kids a great shot at navigating this new world. The next step? Joining forces with parents, caregivers and educators to incorporate these findings into our everyday lives!
